As an R&D Engineer at IM Efficiency, you will be involved in the latest developments in Vehicle Integrated Photovoltaics, or solar energy on trucks. You get energy of coming up with new innovative solutions and like to use your knowledge and experience to make the mobility sector more sustainable with the power of solar energy.

About IM Efficiency:

IM Efficiency runs trucks using solar energy. How cool is that!

We have developed a technology where roofs of trucks and trailers are covered with flexible solar panels, making the transport sector more sustainable and efficient. We do this with our product: SolarOnTop. IM Efficiency is in the scale-up phase. There are now more than 50 trailers/trucks driving around Europe with a working SolarOnTop and we are ready to grow.

Therefore, we are going to expand our team. That team consists of a mix of ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Together we come up with creative solutions, we are not afraid to share ideas with each other, we work hard to get the job done together and we do it with a lot of humor. You will work with these tasks:

• Devise and create electronic and mechanical designs appropriate to IM Efficiency's technology roadmap;
• Develop and build prototypes at different levels: low voltage DC, medium voltage DC and power;
• Testing and analyzing prototypes in laboratory setting and in the field;
• Examining and selecting components. Taking into account Life Cycle Analyses;
• Performing (electrical) quality tests and coordinating and cooperating in certification processes;
• Creating and managing product documentation for our colleagues and external partners;
• Instructing and training our installation partners.

Would you like to join our team? Then you'll bring this:

• You are creative with technical solutions and have a passion for electrical engineering and/or mechanics.
• Already completed NEN training in vehicle electronics, power electronics and medium and high voltage systems is a plug. If you do not have these, you can obtain them at IM Efficiency.
• You have experience with battery systems and their impact on mains, vehicle electronics and applications involving power electronics.
• In possession of driving license B and own transport (plus).
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language.
• Working with tools and building prototypes is not foreign to you.
• Sense of responsibility;
• You work (demonstrably) independently and solution-oriented;
• You are inquisitive and curious.

• An all-round engineer position with a technical scale-up in the mobility sector;
