Vacancy: Full-stack web developer

As a full-stack web developer at IM Efficiency, you will be involved in further developing the online platform on which our truck solar technology runs. Thanks to you, the performance of solar systems on trucks worldwide is made transparent via the laptops and phones of our users.

You like to be diverse when it comes to web development, but don't mind going in deep. As a web developer you therefore have experience with backend code and setting up/working with api systems, but you also enjoy designing and building front-end interfaces. Maybe you are not the best designer of UIs and wireframes yourself, but in that case you know how to reach and guide the right freelancers in a cooperation. What you find very important is a positive and intuitive user experience for our users.

In the platform you build, large amounts of data are analyzed and presented and that is something you like to design and create clear and well-performing solutions for. Because data plays an increasingly important role in our technology, you get the chance to develop yourself further in this area and try out ideas with our users.

As a full-stack web developer, you like to apply your knowledge broadly. Every now and then you like to look into the Python code of colleagues or extend our company website with a new feature of the CMS system.

About IM Efficiency:

IM Efficiency runs trucks using solar energy. How cool is that!

We have developed a technology where roofs of trucks and trailers are covered with flexible solar panels, making the transport sector more sustainable and efficient. We do this with our product: SolarOnTop. IM Efficiency is in the scale-up phase. There are now more than 50 trailers/trucks driving around Europe with a working SolarOnTop and we are ready to grow.

Therefore, we are going to expand our team. That team consists of a mix of ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Together we come up with creative solutions, we are not afraid to share ideas with each other, we work hard to get the job done together and we do it with a lot of humor. You will work with these tasks:

• Further build out our cloud platform. In doing so, you will use frameworks such as React and Laravel;
• Devise, design, develop and test new features. This can be both for the cloud platform and the website itself;
• Optimizing the UX/UI of the cloud platform;
• As the application scales you will look at the deployment structure and possible adjustments to it;
• You will devise solutions and new features for the SolarOnTop products that circulate and the requirements this brings to our own api environment and that of others;
• You will work with our colleagues and partners to manage the application in the Azure environment;
• You help build our organization by building useful software plugins that can be used by colleagues in daily processes;
• You will optimize the way data is stored, downloaded, analyzed and presented and also build new modules to expand our data activities.

Would you like to join our team? Then you'll bring this:

• You are familiar with frameworks like React, Laravel and Tailwind and with languages like JavaScript, PHP, CSS, HTML, Apache and Pyhton.
• You have experience with database storage and its optimization. This can be within the Azure environment as well as outside with MySQL or PostreSQL, for example.
• You have knowledge of good UX in applications and know how to improve the UX, or just how to work with UX designers.
• In possession of driving license B and own transport (advantage)
• Good command of the Dutch and English language
• Sense of responsibility;
• You work (demonstrably) independently and solution-oriented;
• You are eager to learn and curious.
